Christmas Carol Club: November 14th

Over 20 students gathered to eat pizza and watch “A Muppet’s Christmas Carol” last Friday.  The club will meet on Monday, November 19th to finish our viewing of the movie and students will receive a copy of the novella “A Christmas Carol” to take home.

Scripp’s Spelling Bee Club: November 14th

We had a wonderful showing of approximately 35 students who are interesting in practicing and participating in our school spelling bee in February.  Students were given basic information, ate pizza, and viewed a few minutes of a fantastic movie–Akeelah and the Bee.

Vocabulary and Myth book distribution: November 20th

Students that ordered vocabulary books will receive them from their language arts’ teacher in class on November 20th.  Students will also receive a calendar suggesting completion dates for each unit.  We will meet at the end of each 6 week’s to check the work, to have friendly competition with prizes, and of course…to eat  pizza! 

Reminder: ILP turn in was November 1st

Please ask your child if he or she has submitted the Individual Learning Plan form to Mrs. Cochren.  If not, please print off the ILP form from the previous posting and mail it to her!
